Drew Barrymore Wants Another Movie With Friend Adam Sandler

From the 1980s until the 2010s, longtime friends Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler frequently costarred in films. With their on-screen connection, Drew and Adam's movies frequently appeared to be made specifically for them. After a protracted hiatus, Drew wants them to work on another movie together. At the Mark Twain Awards in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, Drew talked to ET. She revealed to the news organization that she and Adam are actively looking for their next joint venture.

The Poison Ivy actress promised not to give out too much information. She did, however, confess that she and Adam are attempting to discover the ideal "alchemy" before bringing anything to the big screen.

Drew revealed it is crucial for her and Adam to "hook into it" when asked what the two are up to next. She clarified that they don't want to duplicate what they've already done twice. She and Adam won't take any more action to demonstrate that they are looking in other places, though.

"I will say this, Adam and I seem to really know it when we know it," she concluded. Then we say, "This is it."

Drew Barrymore Gushes Over Adam

Drew acknowledged that getting the ideal combination for a Drew and Adam film requires more than just locating a project. She admitted that she and the Uncut Gems actor occasionally omit their opinions when something specially made for them is being created.

The Santa Clarita Diet actress argued that they do this to "personalize, even though it's not us up there" their films. Finding the characters that resonate with her and Adam as artists, according to her, is all that's left to do.

The Music and Lyrics actress also extolled the virtues of her pal. On Sunday, Adam was awarded the Mark Twain Award for American Comedy by the Kennedy Center. The Murder Mystery 2 actor, according to the Fever Pitch actress, just "has that something."

She lauded comedians, referring to them as the "most necessary" creatures on the planet. Drew praised comics for having the guts to make people laugh.

Each comedian, in my opinion, has that special something, she continued. And he's so Sandler, too. The man Sandler is Sandler.

On Sunday, Drew posted her usual "Sunday Buffet" Instagram tribute to Adam. She published several old photos of the two throughout the years.
