Can one learn charisma? It is debatable, but one of the most alluring qualities of charismatic people is their capacity to make the person they are conversing with feel special and important—as if they are the only one who counts.
People with charisma pay attention. They are too preoccupied taking in your statement to think about their next one. You want to be with them as much as possible because they make you feel acknowledged and deserving.
Choose a day and resolve to pay close attention to everyone you come into contact with. Strive to keep your thoughts free of any attitudes or judgements and your entire focus directed towards them. Make certain to:
Pay attention to the message hidden in others' words. Are they only reciting their prepared lines, or are they being sincere?
Continue to listen with the sincere aim of getting to know them in a kind, meaningful way.
See if you can spot the true source of their rage, fear, or excitement by seeing behind their eyes.
Our minds are accustomed to managing hundreds of thoughts at once, so this is much tougher than it first appears, but it is possible if you put in the effort.
